Where does it take place and when: Held at Totara Springs Camp, Matamata,
What is the cost: In 2023, the cost was $410, but that is expected to increase slightly this year. This includes food, accommodation, transport, tracksuit hire and admin costs.

At Sports Camp, our students compete in a wide range of sports as well as being able to mix with a large number of their peers from other intermediate schools.
MBIS creates two teams of about 32 students each - one Year 7 team and one Year 8 team.
Students selected will need to adapt their skills to play several of these sports.
Selection: For both the Year 7 and Year 8 team, students are invited to put forward a short CV to apply.
Sports played are:
Boys: Rugby, Hockey, Volleyball, Indoor Hockey, Basketball, Indoor Football.
Girls: Netball, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Indoor Hockey Indoor Football.
Mixed: Football, Touch, Tennis, Softball, Wall Ball, Athletics, Swimming, Cross Country. Team Triathlon.
All will participate in the cheer team and associated lead-up practices, which take place every lunchtime in the first 2 weeks of Term 3.
Many of the team sports are modified to accommodate smaller team numbers.
We also compete in other sports such as: croquet, indoor bowls, kayaking, table tennis, archery, shooting, chess, draughts, caged soccer, tennis, darts, triathlon and petanque.
We will also need some parental help with supervision at the camp. We look for 2 enthusiastic parents per team to work with the 2 teachers.
